Home Concert 2000's
Piano Roll View

This is what Home Concert might look like in Piano-Roll View on a Windows computer (the Macintosh version is virtually the same) while the performer is playing in bar 7 of Beethoven's Ecossaise. As the soloist continues to play, the grid scrolls accordingly downwards--faster and slower depending on the tempo changes of the performance. When it is time to play a note, the pink blob for that note also appears on the keyboard at the bottom. This view, which is an alternative to the standard Notation View, might be helpful for people who don't read music well, as it relates the notes directly to the keyboard.

And, of course, while the soloist is playing, Home Concert is playing the programmed accompaniment for this piece, synchronized to the performance.
